Here is my wire sculpture after its first coat of paint. After our second coat of paint mine turned out a lot lighter. They all look really cool! If you can pop into our classroom to see them!
My favourite part of my salt dough creation is the wool because of the shape and pattern.I created the pattern by rolling the salt dough into long strips and twisting it into a swirl. We had to leave it over lunch break. It was really annoying after lunch because the salt dough had started to create a cover, so I had to re-roll the salt dough to make it sticky again. If I didn't re-roll it then it wouldn't stick to the others. When it came to painting time after baking them in the oven, everyone had to paint the whole sculpture white to make the paint brighter. I was really happy with the colour of the wool so I only painted the face. After we had finished painting our final colours onto our sculptures we varnished them.
Think of a title for this artwork.
BK Clay because it looks like a BK Burger.
If you could interview the artist, what question would you ask?
We would ask "What gave you the inspiration to make this piece?"
How do you think this was made?
We think this was made using a lot of patience and skill.
