Last night was our School Prize Giving Assembly. It was an amazing night with over 150 awards handed out. I was very lucky and received two awards. The awards that I received are: Academic Achievement and the Principals Cup which was donated by Mr Herrick(our principal until 2008). Congratulations to Lachie U. as he received the Champions Award which is the only award not handed out every year. There was a loud and long clap for him. Go Lachie!!!!! Well Done to everyone else who received an award!
On Friday it was our last game. All day we had beenat counties so it was quite tough. We won 27-20 against St Joesephs Stars. It was unfair as their best player had been injured and the rest of the team had been at Counties with lots of events. Well Done Tinwald Tall Ferns!
Friday is our last miniball game. Our team consists of Abbie, Chloe S, Chloe J, Adele, Georgia, Sophie, Me and Skip(our coach). We are called the Tinwald Tall Ferns. We have had no wins this year and are versing St Joeseph Stars(a tough team), but we would like to make it our first win. We all work well as a team and whatever the outcome we will be proud as we have played our hardest all season. I look forward to trying basketball next year at Intermediate!
On Friday it is Counties Athletics. I am going for four events. Those events are: 10yr girl short sprint (50m) 10yr girl long sprint (80m) 10yr girl 4x50m relay 10yr girl high jump I am really excited to be going for four events. Good Luck to everyone competing and give it your best shot!
Yesterday was my 11th birthday. After school I had Teresa over. For tea we had our traditional party tea which consists of fairy bread, chips, fizzy, sausage rolls and then my amazing cake that Mum made me. It was carrot cake with cream cheese icing. On top it had my netball position made into the bibs that we wear and a 3D model of me with a netball. I must admit I was pretty spoilt. I am really looking forward to my 12th birthday to enjoy it all ove again.
On the last Thursday of the holidays Dad packed up the car and took Amy and I down to Tekapo. When we got there it was really windy. First we went to the Church of the Good Sheperd and then to the collie. We then had lunch in town before driving up to the Mt John Observatory. The wind up there was so strong that Dad had to hold onto us to stop from loosing him. Overall I would definitely go again!
