Here is a photo of my wire sculpture before painting. This exercise was part of our build up to our topic "Make It Work!"
What do you think?
Us back at school with our drinks.
Today Tamaki and I used our voucher to take one friend out for lunch. We chose Hannah and we had McDonalds.Tamaki had a Son of Mac combo, Hannah had a Medium Cheeseburger combo and I had a McChicken 'n' Cheese combo. We recommend them all. Thankyou to Miss Sullivan for taking us.
Here are some videos of the four boys using Hemi's table tennis voucher. There are some fantastic shots and some crack-ups.

For homework we could make biscuits if we wanted to. I decided that I would make some Sultana and Chocolate Chip Biscuits. I brought them to school on Tuesday and had them on Wednesday. Here are some photos:
Today we had our third challenge for our topic called "Make It Work!" The challenge was called "A Bit Dicey!" For this challenge we had to balance six dice on a Popsicle stick in a vertical tower and make them balance for three seconds without them falling off. We had one minute to complete the challenge.
I did not succeed in this challenge apart from the practice, where I was able to balance all six for seven seconds. Some of the strategies that were used for this were:
Holding the stick to the side of your mouth.
Biting down hard on the stick to keep it in place.
Closing your lips around the stick for extra security/support.
Sitting down on a chair instead of standing up.
Something that I would change for next time would be to try different strategies in the competition each time one idea failed.
